What is a Commercial Photographer?
At its core, commercial photography is about visual communication. It is the art of creating images specifically designed to sell, advertise, or market a product, service, business, or idea.
While the field is broad, our studio covers the full spectrum of commercial needs, including:
Advertising & Lifestyle: Connecting your brand to your audience.
Product & Food: Showcasing the details that drive sales.
Architecture & Real Estate: Capturing spaces in their best light.
Fashion: highlighting style and trends.
Simplified Licensing & Usage We believe in transparency. Unlike many studios that charge separate creative and licensing fees, our usage fee is included in the total cost. While we retain the copyright to the images, you are granted full reproduction rights for marketing and advertising immediately upon payment of the final invoice.

Booking & Pricing
How much does a session cost?
Pricing is based on the value you receive, which includes the time to create the images and the reproduction rights to use them. Because every project—from a single headshot to a national advertising campaign—is unique, we recommend contacting us for a custom estimate tailored to your specific needs.
How do I book a session?
You can book a session by calling us at (307) 245-3882 or emailing matt@idlerphoto.com. For new commercial clients, we often prefer a brief phone call or meeting to discuss your concepts and goals before scheduling the shoot.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, and PayPal.
The Process & Delivery
What happens during a shoot?
We strive to make the process efficient and comfortable. For commercial and portrait shoots, we often tether our camera to a laptop. This allows you to view the images in real-time as they are being created, ensuring we capture exactly what you need before the session ends.
How long does a session take?
Session lengths vary by project. A simple headshot session might take 15–30 minutes, while a commercial or industrial shoot could last half a day or multiple days. We will provide a time estimate when we discuss your project.
How will I receive my photos?
Final images are typically delivered digitally via a secure download link from our website or on a thumb drive, depending on your preference and the file sizes.
Do you offer photo retouching?
Yes, professional editing and retouching are part of our workflow to ensure your final images look polished and professional.
